This Week

Students are working on a story quilt that they will present tomorrow. Students have been assigned a short story element and they are creating a page that represents the element from Petite Rouge Riding Hood.

Students will read Becky and the Wheels and Brakes Boys, Southpaw and The Tail out of their literature book this week. They can access their literature books on line. We will focus on short story elements and reading strategies. They will have a comprehension test on the stories this week.

Please continue to encourage your child to read at home every night.

Report Cards will go home today!!!

Short Story Elements

Students will be studying the elements of a short story for the next couple of weeks. We will read a variety of short stories and discuss reading strategies as well as, the elements. At the end, students will be able to identify and define elements of a short story.

Wish List

The classroom is in need of boxes of tissue for the students and clorox wipes for their desks. We could always use pencils as well.

Students need to turn in any make up work tomorrow for the 1st nine weeks.

Students are in the process of presenting their book talks. They will also have a conference with me this week concerning their Reader's Notebook.
