Homework

Monday

Students should study their chapter sheets for a test on Freak the Mighty

Tuesday
Students need to read their personal novels every night so they can reach their reading goal of 30 books for the school year.
At this point, they should have 10-15 novels read.  They are reading every day at school and should be reading every night at home.  They should be reading a novel a week.

Wednesday

Students received a Reader's Notebook Checklist and this needs to be signed.

They also received a letter to parents about Sea Turtle Reminders that also need to be signed.

They need to read personal novels at home for at least 15-20 minutes.

Thursday

Marshmallow-book talk

Finish Journal response that pertains to one of these quotes:
"Pain is a state of mind.  You can think your way out of anything, even pain."  or "Life is dangerous."

Students may need to finish chapter sheets for chapters 8-9

Homework

Study for Vocabulary Test!!

Wednesday, December 5, 2012

Sorry!!

I forgot to update my page for homework!!! If this happens again, please remember that students receive Weekly Essentials every Monday and they always have vocabulary cards to make for homework.  They will have a test on Friday for the vocabulary words.

We are also reading Freak the Mighty in class and students are responsible for doing Chapter Sheets for every chapter.  They will be able to use these as a study guide when they have a comprehension test on the first 8 chapters soon. I have checked notebooks and several students are behind on these.  In order for their grade to change, they must make these up.

Thanks!!!

Chapter Sheets are simple a sheet that asks for the chapter title and number, the characters of that chapter, the setting of that chapter and a summary of that chapter.
