The Final Days

Dear Parents,
The final week of 2010-2011 school year is here :) This has been a wonderful school year. I have really enjoyed teaching these fabulous students. I have watched them grow as a person, student and reader. I hope that you continue to encourage them to read over the summer.
On a different note, I am sending home a final progress report today. I will expect students who are missing work (reading notebook) to turn it in for a grade during homeroom. My grades are due tomorrow morning and I can not take anything later than homeroom.
Please have students turn in any novels, books, fees, locks, etc. this week. Students who owe any money for lost/missing items or any other fees will not receive their report cards until they do so. Please have students check their rooms, house, lockers, etc for my novels. I have worked very hard this school year to get as many new books for the classroom library as I could. Thank you for your help!!
Have a wonderful summer!!

Classroom Library

Dear Parents,
I am in the process of checking my library for missing books. Students are allowed to check out books but they must have a student sign off when they turn it in. If they do not do this, I have no clue if they returned any of my novels. All students knew of this policy. I have had many generous donations of new books for my classroom library. I have tried to keep high interest novels of all genres. In order to keep the classroom library stocked I have to charge students for any missing books just like a regular library. They are held accountable for the books they check out and return. Please help your child look around the house and car for any missing books. I have tried to mark all of my books with my name on the sides... King. Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Mrs. King
